As we did last year, we were again able to win Deutschlandfunk Nova as a partner for c/o Ehrenfeld 2020. The crew will curate the stage on Heliosstraße on Saturday, April 25th. We will keep the headliner secret for a while. But already now you can look forward to the two Bruckner brothers with hits like "Ich und deine Freunde" and "Tischtennistage" as well as the German Indiepop singer lilly among clouds.
One of our other offline partners is the Kulturservice Köln. The team takes care of the distribution of our flyers, which you may have stumbled across here and there. The Kulturservice Köln informs you with the "Kulturletter" but also regularly by mail about selected cultural tips in and around Cologne and carries out raffles for events - try your luck! Subscribe to the Kulturletter for free via the homepage or via Facebook or Instagram. You can find all information here!
Even though nowadays everyone carries their own billboard in the form of a smartphone, the good old medium of posters is of course far from obsolete. And for everything that has to do with our billboarding, we have been working for years with the most super partner ever: Supersteini. The Supersteini Music Marketing Agency has been active in the field of outdoor advertising since 1999 and creates campaign-specific and individual super concepts. We bow in eternal gratitude.
On 25 and 26 April, Cologne's most colourful district will be even more colourful for a whole weekend. For the second time, c/o Ehrenfeld will take part in the festival within the festival. The musical programme is complete: From the Gürtel to Leyendecker Straße you can enjoy more than 70 concerts with highlights like Alfie Templeman, Audio88 & Yassin, ILIRA, Jules Ahoi and KeKe - in relevant locations like CBE, YUCA or our festival headquarters BüZe as well as in small shops along Venloer Straße. In addition to tattoo, DIY or handlettering courses on nail art, there will be readings, discussions and workshops at various exciting locations throughout the weekend. We will announce the complete supporting programme on 11 March. All events within the framework of c/o Ehrenfeld are free of charge.

No sooner has 2020 begun our programme for the Festival Wednesday to Friday is complete. New in the line-up are the German-Italian DJ, multi-instrumentalist and music producer David August, the hip-hop duo 257ers, who released two studio albums last year, the shooting star of the German rap scene Eunique as well as our all-time favourite actor, DJ and total artwork Lars Eidinger. With his infamous "Autistic Disco" he will be whistling at all genre etiquette in the Waggonhalle in Ehrenfeld. Apart from the Autistic Disco, we have two more party series in the program for Friday night: Cosmo (with Pongo and LYZZA) at the Yuca and Brutalism (with Bjarki, MK Braun, Måtyrer & Dornen) at the Artheater. You can also look forward to an extraordinary premiere: Cologne's first Crystal Ball. The concept of the Ballrooms originates from the New York homo-/transsexual and Afro/Latin American community of the 60s/70s. These events are all about unfolding individually through an expressive dance style called Voguing. The collective "House of Saint Laurent" (formerly "The House of Melody") brought the pompous concept to Germany and also presents the show at the Bürgerzentrum Ehrenfeld. Here a jury evaluates the Voguing dances, which include model poses from the fashion world.
Together with the GEMA we call again this year for the band contest. No matter if solo musicians* or bands - as soon as a member is registered with GEMA, you can apply until January 21st. You can win a showcase slot at the c/o pop Festival on Sunday 26 April at Em Drügge Pitter in Ehrenfeld. Last year's winners were Die Kerzen, Die Cigaretten, TinTin and Prada Meinhoff.

We don't want to release you from 2019 without giving you some new confirmations for the c/o pop Sause 2020. Let's go: On festival Thursday, the almost innumerable band members of Querbeat will make the Carlswerk Victoria quake - and, as expected, also in front of the stage. At the same time, the Sartory Säle will certainly be a bit quieter, as the location will be seated. Here Kat Frankie presents together with seven singers her genre-spanning a cappella show, which she has put together from old and newly composed material.
But the festival Thursday has much more to offer: In the Ehrenfelder YUCA the Toronto-based Lo-Fi-Electro-Noise-collective Holy Fuck will play, next door in the CBE the power trio of Dream Wife from London will perform and The Düsseldorf Düsterboys from Essen, some of whom have already inspired us as International Music, will be performing in the Ehrenfelder BüZe.
Sorry, but now you have to decide ...
The previous line-up looks like this: Foals, Querbeat, Kat Frankie, GoGo Penguin, Nura, Province, Balbina, Dream Wife, The Düsseldorf Düsterboys, AVEC, Holy Fuck, Mia Morgan.
Shortly before christmas we have re-equipped our shop especially for you - finally! Until now the shopping cart function was missing, which was extremely annoying if you wanted to buy tickets for different concerts. Now you can simply choose the concerts you want to buy, pay only once for hardtickets and finish your order process in a comfortable and uncomplicated way. So if you're still looking for the right Christmas present, you can provide all your friends with a wide variety of concert tickets at one go, without having to worry about cumbersome ordering procedures.
We have expanded our portfolio with a new venue: Our new favourite venue for larger acts with the expected large audience is the Carlswerk Victoria, which is located right next to the Schauspielhaus in Mülheim. The enchanting hall on the former Felten & Guilleaume site has been lovingly transformed into a concert location and is perfect for the huge Brasspop crew from Querbeat, for example.

Recently they have announced two club shows for Germany and we are proud to be able to host one of them: The headliner for the c/o pop Festival 2020 is Foals! This year the band from Oxford released two albums and the double album "Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost" respectively - part 1 came out in March, part 2 followed in October. Foals will prove how the new songs sound live at Palladium on April 24th.
For experienced Cologne concert goers, it is not really a new location - but for c/o pop Festival it is: We are delighted to be able to include the Kulturkirche Nippes in our location pool for 2020, after all, this magical location is a guarantee for very special concerts. Anyone who has experienced this knows what we are talking about. If you don't, you should get your ticket as soon as possible. For example for Balbina on April 22.
Although it is still quite a while until April and so far only a fraction of the line-up has been completed, we have put together a playlist to get you in the mood. Listen to the songs of our released acts on Spotify: Foals, GoGo Penguin, Nura, Province, Balbina, AVEC and Mia Morgan.
Festival tickets and single tickets. All tickets now on sale.
Also this year there will be single tickets for the different shows. The festival ticket is valid for all events. From now on you can buy the festival ticket of 85 Euro plus advance booking fees in our webshop. Admission to the various concerts is only possible until the capacity limit is reached.
Date, location and concept - you can't knock over much more at a festival. We did all that. And that's exactly why we're keeping our feet still in 2020 and are only turning a few small screws: In order to link the c/o pop Convention and the Festival even more, to shorten the distances and to bundle synergies, the c/o pop Convention 2020 is moving to a new headquarters - the Herbrand's in Ehrenfeld. We are already looking forward to the new venue with its chic event rooms and the huge, cosy beer garden. The c/o pop convention starts on 23 April and ends on 26 April with New Talents Day. The limited tickets are now available. You can also buy the other tickets for the festival and the convention via www.c-o-pop.de from now on.
Our first announcement was awarded the 1LIVE Crown as "Best Artist" in 2018 and already cooperated with acts like Trettmann. We are delighted to have won Berlin based rapper Nura for our c/o pop Festival program next spring. She will be solo on the stage of the wonderful Gloria on Thursday of the Festival. Our second act is only marginally related to rap, her sound could be described more appropriately as jazz-inspired electronica: The Manchester-based trio GoGo Penguin will hopefully transform the Sartory Säle into an oversized dance floor on festival Friday with their unusual mix of styles. The sound of Mia Morgan from Kassel is also suitable for dance floors. At any rate, she has already proven this in the supporting program of great acts such as Casper and Drangsal. The artist herself describes her music as Gruftpop - and immediately called her first EP produced by Max Rieger that. On Wednesday of the festival she will play at the YUCA in Ehrenfeld.
